The Children's Storefront
Overnight Laptop Loaner Rules
- Grade 8 or student staff are the only students allowed to take out overnight laptops
- Laptops must be returned by recess the next day
- Not for use in school ... when you leave the computer lab, you cannot take it to study hall, the common room, a classroom
or the music room and then
open it and use it ... the only exception is if a teacher says "please show me your work on that laptop" ...
you cannot let anyone see that you even
have a laptop when on 129th street or in building 70 or 61 or 57
- Your laptop must never be seen out of the bag in building 70 or 57 or 61 or on the street
- if there are no laptop bags available, then your plan B is to use a plastic bag or have it in your book bag
- Your laptop is only to be seen at home and then back in the computer lab the next day at recess
- No reserving (sorry about this, but things get crazy if people write "this one is reserved for me")
- You cannot take it on a school trip unless special permission is given
- First come, first serve with laptops being given out after the US meeting at 3:45
- Sign the back of the door with the number of the laptop
- Make sure the computer is SHUT DOWN before you travel with it
- Your laptop will most likely not work on the Internet
- Reminder borrowing laptops is a privilege you are being given at The Children's Storefront ...
with privilege comes responsibility, one of our core values
- Students on the student staff must pitch in and work approximately 1 hour per week helping out
Memory Sticks
- All students are allowed to borrow a memory stick. If you do take one, please
make sure you know how to take the memory stick out of the computer
