• to access the file server, you need to first close out all open windows and quit any programs

  on the top TOOLBAR, you should see the word GO

  if you don't, you need to quit or close more windows

  now click on GO ... then you choose CONNECT TO SERVER at the bottom ... then you type in this number 192.168.1.20 which is called the IP Address of the File Server ...

  ... then choose CONNECT ... you will need to enter your NAME and PASSWORD ... this refers to the NAME you enter when you sit at a PC, e.g. KGerding and your PC desktop password which you have been using on your PC for years (not First Class)

  now when a window opens, choose HOME

  then you choose the + symbol on the right so that it becomes a FAVORITE SERVER
